Ticket sales will end this Friday, March 8, for the second annual BOOST Bash, slated for Saturday, March 30, at the Greene Room at Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson.
BOOST is an acronym for Bringing Opportunities and Optimism for our Students and Teachers. Community members from all parts of the school district are planning the event that will directly benefit the students, teachers and classrooms of the Greene County Community School District.
The 2018 event raised more than $154,000. The money paid for field trips, books, durable equipment like a medical mannequin for CNA classes and a printing press for art classes, and much more.
The BOOST Bash will include a social hour starting at 5 pm, dinner at 6:30, a celebration of the Greene County schools, recognition of positive things happening at GCCSD, and live and silent auctions. Kevin Paulsen and Kevin Richards will be emcees.
Tickets are $30 per person and are available at www.boostgreenecountyschools.com or by mail at Greene County Schools BOOST, PO Box 4, Jefferson, IA 50129. Checks should be payable to Greene County Educational Foundation with “BOOST tickets” or “BOOST donation” in the memo line.
